Along the river Sebou towards the sea, we recommend you to stop in the various cafes to contemplate the landscapes and the boats passing on the water. On the other side of the river, which must be crossed by boat from the fishing port, lies the long and wild beach of Chelihate.
The beach Mehdiya is also interesting, 7 km, below the castle. It is a long sandy beach very popular in summer, with a sea promenade.
It is ideal for surf enthusiasts.
There is a luxury tourist resort, Golf Kenitra, and villas or apartments can be rented for the holidays.
After the beach, towards the south, are the lagoons of Sidi Boughaba which enjoy special protection due to the passage of waterfowl. It is a relic of the ancient natural landscape of the Moroccan coast, filled with lagoons and marshes.
Following the coast by road to Rabat, you can access the lonely Taxi Beach and camping Sidi Taibi.
A little further south is the famous Plage des Nations, 22 km away, which is reached by the detour from the road to Rabat.
The tourist resort Plage des Nations Golf Resort is under construction, with a golf course, villas and hotels.
Large forest of holm oaks and cork oaks located southeast of the city, which extends to Rabat. It is a place of great beauty that invites to peace and also one of the unmissable natural monuments of the Moroccan Atlantic coast. The birds are very numerous (especially the hawks). Unfortunately, this site is in danger because of human pressure and infestations.
Sidi Yaya de Rhab is nearby, 26 km from Kenitra. It is the closest town to the Mamora Forest and the gateway to this natural area.
To the north, we find the Rhab region.In this area, do not miss the beach of Moulay Bousselham, a site known during the summer holidays.
